About Ballet Company

Leyla began dancing at a young age and was selected to dance for the National Youth Ballet at Sadler’s Wells. Training professionally at Performers College and achieving dance teaching qualifications with the Imperial Society of Teachers of dancing at The Centre.  

As a professional dancer Leyla performed commercially, attributes include music videos for Stargate, dancer for Damage, Dane Bowers for Smash Hits and Chaka Khan at the M.O.B.O Awards and appearing in various TV shows including T4, Des O’Connor, Soccer A.m., Carrie and David Grant’s show as a choreographer, Sky adverts and the launch of Virgin trains for Sir Richard Branson. Leyla danced for The London Broncos Rugby Team cheerleading squad, which quickly led to her promotion as choreographer and management of the cheer squad and gained ICF qualification with the UKCA and formed the brand “The Cowgirls” and Leyla’s children’s cheerleading squads competed nationally gaining first place in the UK. Theatre attributes include several pantomimes across the UK including instructing dance demonstrations at Earls Court Sports Exhibition. As well as having a busy professional life Leyla was also a dedicated dance teacher for Italia Conti Associates school and the BRIT. Leyla has choreographed and directed several shows locally, including West End Venues Theatre Royal, Her Majesty’s Theatre and The London Palladium.

Alongside Ballet Company Leyla offers dance classes in nursery, primary and secondary schools in the Bexley and Greenwich boroughs in which classes have been rated outstanding by Ofsted. Leyla continues to grow and learn and as a dance teacher and more recently graduated in 2021 with a first BA (hons) in physical education and physical activity.
